Landscaping workshop concentrates on maintenance

Join the City of Woodland and Yolo Resource Conservation District Wednesday night, for the final presentation in the Water-Wise Wednesdays workshop series, Maintain It: Landscape Trouble-Shooting.


As drought-tolerant landscapes become the brand-new California front lawn, keeping them has put some homeowners into uncharted territory, according to Jordan Power with the city.


At this Wednesday s workshop, Taylor Lewis, nursery manager for the UC Davis Arboretum will teach individuals how to keep drought-tolerant landscapes healthy and stunning.


Master Gardener and retired United States Army Corps Hydraulics Engineer, Arlen Feldman, will show how keep drip irrigation systems. The presentations will happen from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Woodland Community and Senior Center, 2001 East St., concluding with a question and answer session with the speakers.


Everyone attending is welcome to beverages and will be gone into to win water-wise landscaping prizes. The City of Woodland and Yolo RCD will also know tables and will be offered to respond to concerns.
